The Self & Home: Where your Spiritual Journey Begins
Throughout my days I encounter many folks who are just beginning or deepening their Spiritual Journey and want to know how to enhance their practice and connection. The work begins with the self and the home!
The following advice pertains to everyday habits which will go along way in advancing your journey. Regardless of what your spiritual path may be, or how your journey will change, it is absolutely necessary to have a practice in place for cleansing, purifying and protecting the self and the home.
Here are some practical steps and ideas!
Snowflake Obsidian
I don't always work with stones, but I do have a few long-time favorites. Snowflake Obsidian is one of those!
Here is some info about the stone:
Associations:
Associated Crystals: Apache tears, black onyx and sardonyx.
Candle Color: White.
Chakra: Crown and root.
Number:8
Zodiac: Virgo & Capricorn
Planet: Saturn
Element: Fire & Earth
Powers: Generally the same as Obsidian-Protection, Grounding, Divination, and Peace.
Flowers & Plants: Snowdrop, sweet tobacco and white hyacinth.
Saint Peter
Saint Peter’s Feast Day is June 29th. His day of the week is Tuesday. His emblem is two crossed keys. His candle colors are red & white.
He may be petitioned for success in any endeavor, removing obstacles, better business, strength & courage, forgiveness of hurts, good luck & fortune, and miracles of compassion.
Many people also petition Saint Peter for success in artistic ventures as well as overcoming addictions. He also acts to resolve conflicts and dish out justice in moral matters.
Saint Joseph
Saint Joseph's day of the week is Sunday or Wednesday. His emblem is a pitcher and loaf of bread or a lily. His colors are yellow, green and brown. When Working with Saint Joseph the Worker, he must always be pictured holding the infant Jesus.
