Autumn: The Season of Transformation

In Autumn we are nearer to the World Beyond the veil and to our ancestors and Spirit Guides, especially as we approach Samhain / Halloween, All Soul's Day / All Saint's Day and Day of the Dead.

While it is a good time to seek guidance from without, it is also the perfect time to seek the transformation of one's own accord and from within. This is the season of change, as the season itself illustrates to us with nature as our example. As we all know, change is inevitable. This is why it is in our best interest to take control of our changes and use them to our advantage. 

Positive initiative and intentions towards positive change are the most important things to protect us from unexpected events and surprise upheavals! When we fail to be conscientious about our personal growth, when we fail to leave the past behind, when we know it is time for change and growth and we procrastinate - this is when the Universe takes matters into its own hands and turns things upside down. 

When you are feeling that it is time to change, it is best to be the conscientious director of that change. Pay attention to your intuition and take stock of your life's journey at this time. Change is always good and it will always happen regardless of what we do - it is best to be the master of your own destiny and take stock of where and when growth and transformation are needed in our own lives. 

Fire magick is the perfect form of Spiritual Work for transformation and leaving the past behind. Bonfires, thuribles, and candles are all wonderful vehicles for directing the energy of the season and the energy of self-determined growth.
