Saint Lucy Spiritual Spell Service for Clarity & Illumination

Saint Lucy is called upon to gain insight and clarity into a situaiton. She is associated with prophecy, "second sight" or divination. In spiritism especially she has significance for all those who work with divination, fortune telling or other areas of psychic work.  St. Lucy provides clarity, clear seeing, and hidden information. She will bring you the truth. "Lucy" comes from the Latin word "lux" and means "light" - sharing the same root with the word "lucid" - meaning clear and understandable. She is the Patron Saint of the blind and people with eye disorders. White is her color. Her Feast Day is December 13th and her weekday is Wednesday. In some traditions her day is Sunday, which is connected to the Sun. 

December 13th is celebrated in Germanic pagan traditions as a Festival of Light. In Scandenavia St. Lucy is one of the very few Saints still revered by the Lutheran church. In Sweden and Norway the December 13th Festival of Light is still dedicated to Saint Lucy. December 13th was the date of the Winter Solstice in the Julian Calendar. This date is in the season of Advent. The festivals feature young maidens (the youngest of the family) who wear a crown of light or 12 candles placed upon their heads. In addition they adorn a white robe with a red sash and a wreath of evergreens. Assisted by any siblings, they serve coffee and a special St. Lucia bun. 

Her emblem is two eyes on a dish or plate - representing her connection with seeing the unseen. In some versions of the story it is said that St. Lucy's eyes were gouged out after she issued a prophecy. It is also said in versions of the story that God restored her eye-sight. 

Saint Lucy can be petitioned for eye problems, to keep legal problems away, or to win a court case, to conquer tempations, for protection from the evil eye, and to see the unknown, the truth, hidden knowledge or gain insight into the truth of a situation. Saint Lucy will assist you when life has you down or against a wall. She is the Patroness of eye doctors, the blind, optometrists, those with eye problems, peddlers, saddlers, salesmen, writers, and those with throat problems.
